It is with deep sadness that the JASON Project honors the life and legacy of Dr. Mike Botta, a dedicated member of the Board of Directors, beloved professor, and cherished mentor.

A former FBI/DEA agent, Dr. Botta brought a wealth of real-world experience, sharp insight, and unwavering integrity to every role he held. As a professor at Point Park University, he inspired countless students through his intelligence courses, challenging them to think critically while encouraging them to pursue excellence.

On the Board, Dr. Botta was more than just a member—he was a driving force. His friendship with Mr. Thompson forged the JASON Project’s relationship with Point Park University. His voice consistently pushed the organization toward meaningful action, ensuring that its mission was not only envisioned but lived out in practice. His compassion and determination left an indelible mark on the organization and on all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Botta will be remembered for his bright spirit, kindness, and genuine care for others. His legacy lives on in the students he taught, the colleagues he inspired, and the community he helped to build.
